Happy anniversary to my Michael. It has been four beautiful years!

One of the first things I told Mike on our very first date was that I was going to finish school and become a reporter/anchor. I told him I would have to move a lot, and that I would have crazy hours. The news didn’t surprise him, and he’s been nothing but supportive ever since.

Mike and I have traveled back and forth between Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and now New York to see each other. I have so much respect for long distance relationships, as I know how hard it is, and can be.

With that said, I want the world to know how incredibly fortunate I am to have Michael and his family in my life. Together they have made the most difficult moments, seem like a breeze. Saying “see you soon” to Mike gets harder and harder for me, but in my heart I know that speaks volume for us as a couple.

Every day of every year I grow more in love my with my best friend. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us, but more importantly I cannot wait to be able to come home to him every single night. It will be a time I will always remember, appreciate, and never take for granted.

This blog is for you my dear. You are my everything, and I love you more than I will ever be able to put into words. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for love and wisdom. Thank you for being a part of my crazy, hectic journey, and most importantly, thank you for never giving up on me or us, and for always encouraging me to follow my dreams.

Read or Watch?

The Fault in Our Own Stars just came out in theaters — everyone is telling me to WAIT and read the book first. I am going to listen and do just that.

Do you read the book first or watch the movie?

Which movies have done it right? (Give the book justice) Which movies failed at that?
